By popular demand from syndicate members Blackwater Lake is now an all methods (well almost - spinning is not allowed) part of the fishery. Already holding a good head of Carp to low double figures and masses of good sized Dace, Carp to about 20 lbs currently in Shide lake are being moved to Blackwater Lake this autumn. This will be followed by a stocking of Perch and possibly Rudd both of which, together with the Dace will readily take a fly as well as bait. Trout will continue to be stocked in both lakes but at a higher density than before in Shide Lake making Marvel Fisheries a unique mixed fishing venue.
Both waters will operate as before on a limited syndicate membership basis. Overnight fishing is not permitted with fishing being restricted to the period from dawn to dusk as at present. Bivies, etc., are also not permitted so the waters and the anglers around them will look much as they always have.
A 'Marvelous' slimline Common Carp, this one taken on a fly. With the introduction of bait fish like this should rapidly fill out. The large number of fry currently in Blackwater Lake should also permit rapid growth of Perch. Phone 07860 499851 of email firstname.lastname@example.org for more details and to apply for membership.
